Join us for Greater Valley Restaurant Week with a twist starting on October 15th!
New restaurants and old favorites that cater to every palate. A region full of hidden food treasures from contemporary cuisine to traditional fare and an eclectic mix of international and ethnic dishes make for unparalleled dining.
For seven years we have been serving a 'taste' of what the Valley has to offer. This year we are launching a seven week contest called the Greater Valley Restaurant Hunt where you can not only enjoy all of the hidden gems our region has to offer; but you can also enter to win the Grand Prize a necklace from Marks of Design (valued at $600) or one of two other prize packs of gift certificates to the participating restaurants!
Restaurant Hunting Season opens at 10:00 am on October 15th. We invite you to explore the Greater Valley communities of Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Oxford, Seymour and Shelton collecting as many stamps on your Treasure Map as you can while enjoying the variety of culinary gems we have hidden throughout our community. Be sure to ask your server what their “Mystery Deal” is when you are ordering your meal.

Where can one get a Treasure Map?
The Treasure Map is now available for download below or you can start your journey by going to a participating restaurant, one of the sponsors businesses or the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce to pick up a blank Treasure Map. A complete list of participating restaurants and sponsors are listed here. |

When must one complete and return the Treasure Map?
The Greater Valley Restaurant Hunt will begin October 15th and run through the November 30th. The deadline to turn in Treasure Maps with the required number of stamps is the close of business on December 1, 2018 to any participating Restaurant, sponsor business or the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce. It is okay to pass it in before the deadline.
Is there a charge to get a Treasure Map?
The Treasure Maps are free of charge.
Can anyone participate in the program?
Anyone over 18 years of age can participate.
Is it possible to get a quantity of Treasure Maps for an event (holiday, birthday, wedding shower, wedding, etc.)?
No group, person, or entity other than sponsors of the program and participating restaurants may obtain bulk amounts of the Treasure Maps. Each individual wishing to participate must pick up a Treasure Map at a participating restaurant, one of the sponsor businesses, the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce or you can download a copy of the Treasure Map here.
Is there a charge or purchase necessary to get a stamp at a restaurant?
There is no purchase necessary to get a stamp on a Treasure Map at the participating restaurants.
Can people who are not Connecticut residents participate?
Any person over the age of 18 is allowed to participate in the Greater Valley Restaurant Hunt contest. Participants do not have to be Connecticut residents.
How many stamps are needed to be eligible to win a prize?
Seven (7) stamps will be required on a Treasure Map to be entered into a drawing for a prize. Participants must be over the age of 18 to participate.
When is the prize drawing for the 2018 Greater Valley Restaurant Hunt?
The prize drawing will take place on or about December 6, 2018 during the Greater Valley Chamber’s Annual Jingle & Mingle Holiday Gathering.
Where and when is the list of 2018 Greater Valley Restaurant Hunt winners posted?
The prize winners will be called on the day following the drawing. The complete list of winners will be posted on this website and the Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
